The grey partridge can form flocks of about 50 birds. When they rise with speed even the most experienced gun will find it hard to complete a double shot. They are released onto the land in July so they have plenty of time to adapt to the habitat and strengthen their wings.

It can be hunted from the 3rd Sunday in September until 31st January
